I tend to focus too much on the maze while mouse turning that my DPS goes down quite a bit. This would be tricky enough on its own, but Hexos still needs to be killed, meaning that you need to perform your DPS rotation the entire time you're spinning to survive the hexagons. Since Hexos is always in front of your face, this basically means that as the patterns approach, you need to constantly be turning to face the empty spot - just like the game the fight is based on.
